AWARDS LUNCHEON

You are cordially invited to the Manchester and North West VTTA Group awards luncheon to celebrate another successful year of racing and enjoy a social get together.   The Group has seen some great long-distance performances at 12 and 24 hours, seven riders share 12 Group trophies and there are numerous certificates for Group age records and National season long competitions.  These achievements truly reinforce the VTTA ethos of Competitive Cycling for Life.  Additionally, there will be a quiz for cycling enthusiasts and a bar for those whose training (and driving) allows drink.  The stage is set for a great occasion.

For the first time in many years the Award Luncheon will be different. We are retaining the use of the Masonic Hall but have made the decision to change caterers, partly to attract more members and to keep down the cost.  The falling attendance over recent years, Covid apart, and now coupled with the rise in fuel expense, has contributed to this decision. 

Please find attached, a copy of the proposed menu that could be served as a buffet meal if people felt that was appropriate. Do let me know your opinion.  

The price, £16, is much reduced compared to previous years and I have received good reports about the quality, and sufficiency, of the food.

Hopefully, having taken these steps we can enable and encourage members and family and friends to attend and celebrate the award winners.

I also make a plea to all award winners, standards, and Season Long Competition participants, to attend the luncheon and receive their awards in person.

It would be great to see you at the Luncheon and help ensure the occasion is a great success.
